Go>Play Magazine has a six-page preview of Vice City Stories, with various new shots - one of which shows the golfing mini-game being played.

The latest issue of PSW Magazine contains a 2 page feature on Vice City Stories with several new exclusive screenshots. There doesn't appear to be any new info, however.

New Info in PSM

gamerzworld (from our forum) has just recieved the November issue of PSM, which he says contains 5 new screenshots and some info about the new "Empire Building" feature. Here is a quick summary of what we know so far:
- There are six types of business you can run - protection, extortion, and prostitution, to name a few.
- Gordon Hall - president of Rockstar Leeds - said that they will reveal more types as the release date draws closer.
- Once you open a business it will act as a safehouse.
- It is possible for your business(es) to get attacked, so you can hire and arm bodyguards to protect them.

IGN Interview With Gordon Hall

IGN have posted an interview with the president of R* Leeds aswell as a bunch of never-before-seen screenshots. Here is a quick sample of the interview:

IGN: Will the targeting system remain the same mixture of manual and auto-targeting from Liberty City Stories, or have you made any major adjustments to the system? Has the combat system been changed at all?
Hall: Like all of versions, we have tweaked the existing targeting system. I wouldn't call it a complete overhaul, but we definitely have taken a fresh look at it, particularly in regards to how it relates to the hand-to-hand combat system. The combat system has more depth to it than any other Grand Theft Auto game. The targeting mechanic has been tweaked, but the biggest change has been to unarmed combat - you can now perform grappling moves and throws, you can get on top of an opponent on the ground for ground domination, and more.

Vice City Stories Delayed

We reported yesterday that Vice City Stories has been delayed in Germany until November 3rd. Now it seems this applies not only to Germany, but to the whole of the world.
Today, UK retailers Play and Gameplay both changed the release dates on their sites to November 3rd, while Amazon lists the US release as October 30th - meaning a 13 day delay. In Australia, meanwhile, the release is currently set for November 10th.

Trailer Observations

GrimFaith made an interesting discovery while watching the Vice City Stories official trailer.
Grim noticed that in this scene, there appear to be barricades on the bridge in the background, denying you access to the opposing island - and seeing as this scene takes place on the second island, it means that likely you will start on the second island and gain access to the first island as the story progresses.
Did you spot anything unusual in the trailer? Discuss your findings here.

Vice City Stories Delayed In Germany?

Gamefront.de today were sent a new release list by Take-2 Interactive, and it appears that Vice City Stories has been delayed in Germany.
The release date of October 2006 has now been changed to November 3rd. Retailers such as Amazon and EBGames all said October until today. Perhaps we can expect similar delays in the UK and other countries?
